VEGETABLE BRIYANI
INGREDIENTS
- Basmathi Rice – 3 cup
- Mixed vegetables – 1 cup
- Onions – 2 large
- Tomato – 1 large
- Ginger garlic paste – 11/2 Tsp
- Mint leaves – 1 cup
- Coriander leaves – 1/2 cup
- Chilli Powder – 3 Tsp
- Coriander Powder – 11/2 Tsp
- Garam Masala – 1 Tbsp
- Oil – 11/2 Tsp
- Ghee – 11/2 Tsp
- Cardamom – 2
- Cinnamon – 1 piece
- Cloves – 2
- Briyani leaf – 1
- Soya chunks – 1/2 cup
- Salt
- Add soya chunks to boiling water and let it boil for 5 minutes.
- After 5 minutes turn the flame off and drain the water. Squeeze the soya chunks to get rid of the moisture in it.
- Take a pan, heat oil and ghee together.
- Add whole garam masala ingredients.(cardamom,cinnamon,cloves,briyani leaf)
- Add ginger garlic paste .
- Add onions and a pich of salt.
- Add tomatoes,mint leaves and coriander leaves.
- Add the mixed vegetables( i used carrots,beans,peas), soya chunks, chilli powder,coriander powder,garam masala,salt.
- Add water and bring it to a boil.
- Add rice. ( Since i forgot to add garam masala before i added it here)
- Cover the pan with lid and cook it on a low flame for 15 mins or transfer it to rice cooker.
