PEANUT / GROUNDNUT GRAVY
INGREDIENTS
- Peanuts – 1/2 cup ( I used roasted peanuts here)
- Cumin seeds – less than 1/2 spoon
- Kasoori Methi leaves – 1/2 spoon
- Onion – 1 large
- Tomato – 2
- Cashew nuts – 4 or 5
- Chilli powder – 2 Tsp
- Coriander powder – 1/2 Tsp
- Garam masala – 1/2Tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil
- Since i used roasted peanuts i just boiled it for 10 – 15 mins.
- Take a pan and heat 1/2 Tsp of oil. When the oil is hot add kasoori methi leaves, tomatoes and cashew nuts.
- Cover the lid and cook it for 5 mins.
- Let the tomatoes cool and make it into a fine paste.
- Again heat 1Tsp oil in a pan and add cumin seeds,onions.
- Add peanuts and tomato paste.
- Add chilli powder,coriander powder,garam masala and salt.
- Finally add coriander leaves and serve.
