RAW BANANA/PLANTAIN FRY

INGREDIENTS

  1. Raw banana/Plantain – 1
  2. Garlic – 3 cloves
  3. Fennel powder – 1/2Tsp
  4. Chilli Powder – 1 1/2 Tsp
  5. Coriander Powder – 1/2 Tsp
  6. Curry leaves
  7. Salt as required
  8. Vegetable oil – 2 Tbsp
  9. Coconut oil – 2 Tsp
  •   Peel the raw banana’s skin using a peeler or knife and soak it in water to avoid colour change.

  •  Now cut them into thin slices.

  • Make a paste mixing  chilli powder, fennel powder, coriander powder ,salt  by adding water.

  • Add the raw banana to this masala paste and mix well.

  • Add 2 Tbsp of vegetable oil to a pan and switch on the flame. Once the oil is hot add raw bananas to the pan.

  • Sprinkle some water and close the pan.

  • It will take around 4 to 5 mins to cook.
  • Turn to the other side and let it cook for a minute or two
  • Meanwhile chop the garlic and curry leaves.

  • Heat  1Tsp coconut oil in a pan and saute chopped garlic , curry leaves.
  • DSC_0101 Saute it till garlic turns slightly golden in colour. Turn the flame off and add it to raw banana fry and mix it well.
